About the role
The Project Manager will lead the two‑year FMNR Heritage Project in the Nadam District of Ghana’s Upper East Region. The role focuses on scaling Farmer‑Managed Natural Regeneration, improving soil health and food security for smallholder farmers, and coordinating with traditional authorities, community groups and development partners.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee overall management and operations of the FMNR Heritage Project, ensuring timely delivery of outputs and high quality standards.
- Provide technical input, manage the project budget in collaboration with finance staff, and prepare programmatic reports, annual plans and donor updates.
- Coordinate multi‑country FMNR technical teams, mentor programme staff, and facilitate effective in‑country team functioning.
- Engage with national and regional stakeholder forums, build strategic partnerships, and promote dialogue among government, donors and NGOs.
- Lead community‑level activities such as farmer field schools, eco‑clubs, fire management campaigns and peer learning exchanges.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience managing international development projects, with at least 3 years on multi‑country programmes.
- At least 5 years experience in people management, strategic planning, risk and project management.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder projects and negotiating across organisations.
- Commitment to Christian faith and ability to work across denominational diversity.
- Master’s degree in project management, environmental science, restoration, agroforestry, development or a related field.
