Project Manager – BRIGHT Shea Initiative

About the role

The Project Manager will provide strategic leadership for the Building Resilient and Inclusive Growth in Shea Value Chains (BRIGHT Shea) project in Northern Ghana. Based in Tamale, you will oversee planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and delivery of activities that strengthen shea value chains and improve livelihoods of women producers and youth entrepreneurs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical, budget, monitoring and reporting activities throughout the project cycle, ensuring compliance with CRS quality standards and donor requirements.
• Supervise, coach and develop project staff, manage performance, and promote staff wellbeing.
• Coordinate learning, evaluation and MEAL processes, identifying issues and informing adaptive management.
• Foster and manage partnerships with government agencies, private sector buyers, financial institutions, development partners, traditional authorities and community organizations.
• Implement the Market Systems Development (MSD) strategy to improve aggregation, post‑harvest management, value addition, market access, financial inclusion and natural resource management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing development projects, preferably in agriculture or value‑chain contexts.
• Strong understanding of market systems development approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders and build strategic partnerships.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Project budgeting and financial management.
