Senior Business Development Associate – Asset Dispatch

About the role

The Senior Business Development Associate (Asset Dispatch) will lead GEGL's energy export and dispatch operations, overseeing client billing cycles and maintaining operational relationships with key market and grid stakeholders. This role reports to the Business Development Manager and supervises associates, analysts, and interns.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day relationships with client site representatives, ensuring smooth coordination on reporting, dispatch, and billing.
• Serve as the primary operational contact with market and grid stakeholders (WAPP, GRIDCo, CIE, CI‑Energies) on dispatch, nomination, and reporting matters.
• Oversee daily export reporting, sign and issue reports to CIE by 9:00 am each weekday.
• Manage monthly export nomination process, collect site nominations, obtain internal approval, and submit to CIE before deadlines.
• Chair the Monthly Invoicing Vetting Committee, compile co‑signed bills, and ensure timely invoicing across facilities.
• Guide and coordinate the team’s work to meet project deadlines and budgets, and support training and development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Business Development, Project Development, or Operations within the energy sector.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong operational client and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, recurring reporting, and billing cycles.
