About the role
The Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer will provide technical support for the design and implementation of the Strengthening Infectious Disease Detection Systems (STRIDES) activity in Ghana. The role focuses on developing monitoring plans, data collection tools, and tracking implementation progress to ensure project results.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and update the STRIDES performance monitoring plan.
- Design data collection tools and systems, and oversee data gathering activities.
- Track implementation progress, identify gaps, and advise on priority actions.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and disseminate success stories and lessons learned.
- Provide technical guidance on monitoring and evaluation requirements to the project team.
- Lead program evaluations, monitor indicators, and ensure compliance with FHI 360 SOPs.
- Support capacity building for staff and partners on MEL processes.
Required profile
- Senior‑level professional with at least 72 months of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning for health or infectious disease projects.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess implementation data and propose improvements.
- Excellent written communication for reporting and knowledge sharing.
