Supply Chain Assistant

About the role

The Supply Chain Assistant will support the IOM mission in Ghana by managing procurement activities, vendor relations, and logistics coordination to ensure timely delivery of goods and services for the Coastal States Stability Mechanism programme.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate local service providers based on quality, price, and delivery performance.
• Liaise with intergovernmental and non‑governmental agencies to leverage procurement networks.
• Coordinate with the Senior Resources Management Officer and Supply Chain Officer on procurement and logistics planning.
• Prepare and authorize purchase orders, confirming payment terms and delivery conditions.
• Monitor purchase order status, track availability of goods, and report any changes.
• Assist in asset inventory tracking and maintain procurement filing systems.
• Ensure voucher inventory, manage vendor invoices, and support payment processes.
• Facilitate clearance of international orders and coordinate exemption requests with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• Organise staff movements and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant professional experience in procurement or logistics.
