Supply Chain Manager – Retail Industry Experience

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the end‑to‑end logistics and supply chain operations for a retail business, ensuring products reach stores and customers efficiently while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate product delivery with store and warehouse managers in line with company policies.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through effective logistics and after‑sales support.
• Manage inter‑warehouse transfers and the company truck fleet, optimizing routes and costs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to secure resources for a robust supply chain.
• Define and monitor performance metrics for supply chain and logistics processes.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee inventory accuracy in warehouses and stores, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Develop and enforce policies that enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Plan optimal shipment routes, consolidate warehousing and distribution activities.
• Assess material‑handling equipment and staffing needs, recommending enhancements.
• Evaluate supplier performance, qualify new suppliers, and manage warehouse/distribution center operations.
• Lead, train, and motivate logistics, warehouse, and distribution personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CILT, CIPS, CSCP, or CLTD are desirable.
