Trade Marketing Representative (Non‑Management)

About the role
The Trade Marketing Representative will drive volume and value growth for BAT in the Greater Accra region by applying core trade‑marketing fundamentals such as visibility, availability, merchandising, price compliance and product freshness. Working closely with the Distribution team and the Area Manager, the role focuses on optimizing the presence of BAT brands in key outlets and positioning the company as a benchmark supplier.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve trade‑marketing and volume targets across the assigned territory.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date database of all trade‑marketing outlets that sell tobacco products or attract target consumers.
- Implement cycle plans and a defined work programme in line with the Area Manager’s objectives.
- Secure customer participation in trade and consumer promotions, ensure proper placement of merchandising materials and optimise product positioning according to planograms.
- Provide field reports on market trends, competitor performance and opportunities to keep the Area Manager informed.
- Apply the Key Control Checklist to minimise business risk.
- Manage the territory budget and resources to ensure efficient use of trade‑marketing assets.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of customers’ businesses and ability to support high‑performance trade.
- Commitment to BAT’s values and responsible business practices.
- Proactive communication with the Area Manager on trends, achievements and competitor activity.
- Willingness to allocate resources to personal development.
