Accountant – Full‑Cycle & Free Zone Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage full‑cycle accounting operations, ensure compliance with Ghana Free Zones Authority regulations, and deliver accurate financial reporting for our manufacturing activities in the free‑zone environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance and payroll processing.
• Ensure strict compliance with GFZA regulations, tax obligations and statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, budget variance analyses and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Manage internal and external audits, liaise with auditors and maintain robust internal financial controls.
• Handle import/export financial documentation, duty exemptions and regulatory filings for free‑zone enterprises.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications such as ICA, ACCA, CPA are a distinct advantage).
• Minimum five years of lead accounting experience, including independent bookkeeping and hands‑on work in a Free Zone manufacturing or industrial setting.

Required skills

• Advanced corporate accounting software.
• Microsoft Excel, including payroll systems and financial modelling.
