Assistant Account & Finance Manager

About the role

ASA Savings and Loans Ltd is looking for a qualified Assistant Account & Finance Manager to support its finance team. The role involves preparing financial reports, managing month‑end close processes, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements for a fast‑growing financial services provider.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports, cash‑flow statements and forecasts.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance‑sheet items, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and ensure accurate asset accounting.
• Support timely monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and the annual budget.
• Compute taxes and ensure timely filing of returns.
• Develop and report key financial performance indicators to the Finance and Account Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA or ICAG).
• Minimum five years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, month‑end closing, and IFRS.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
