Business Development Analyst

About the role

The Business Development Analyst will support Visa’s growth strategy in Ghana, working closely with the Country Manager and Business Development team. You will manage client relationships, drive new business initiatives, and provide analytical insights to strengthen Visa’s market position.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the central communication point for clients in Ghana and support the Country Manager in expanding relationships with financial institutions and partners.
• Identify market opportunities, develop business cases, and assist in implementing strategic projects outlined in the Country Strategy.
• Support sales administration tasks, including pipeline tracking, reporting, documentation, and ad‑hoc requests.
• Serve as the primary liaison with Visa’s Business Planning and Operations team, coordinating budgeting, performance tracking, and operational planning.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis, prepare performance reports, and monitor client portfolio performance.
• Liaise with internal teams (Marketing, Risk, Compliance, Finance) to ensure timely delivery of client requests, licensing, campaigns, and product support.
• Ensure compliance with Visa’s service standards and regulatory requirements, and resolve client issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Business Development, Financial Services, or the Payments industry.
• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
• Understanding of card payments, fintech, mobile money, and Ghana’s financial ecosystem.
• Excellent communication, presentation, strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills.
