Business Manager – Glass Project

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Business Manager to act as the strategic liaison for our new glass manufacturing project. You will coordinate with government agencies, traditional authorities, utility providers and local communities to secure the legal, social and operational foundations of the factory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage land transfer procedures, liaising with the Lands Commission for leaseholds and title registrations.
• Build and maintain relationships with Traditional Councils and Chiefs, resolving boundary or compensation disputes.
• Coordinate local labour requirements and community expectations to prevent protests during construction.
• Lead negotiations with GRIDCo/ECG for high‑voltage grid connection and with GWCL for industrial water supply.
• Secure gas sourcing by coordinating with GNPC and Ghana Gas, overseeing gas station construction and price agreements.
• Oversee local contractors for site leveling, access‑road construction and equipment clearance at Tema or Takoradi ports.
• Manage registrations with GIPC, apply for customs duty exemptions, and lead the Free Zone status application with GFZB.
• Obtain and renew all required permits (EPA, GSA, GNFS, District Assembly) and act as primary contact for immigration and police services.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven ability to engage with multiple external stakeholders and navigate regulatory environments.
• Strong negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills.
