Business Manager (Logistics & Freight Forwarding)

About the role

HRLeverage is seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead freight forwarding, haulage and warehousing operations across Ghana and the wider ECOWAS/ECCAS region. The role combines operational oversight with commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of freight, haulage and warehousing services, ensuring compliance with SOPs and KPIs.
• Develop, implement and enforce operational policies to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Manage branch performance, monitor revenue targets and control costs.
• Supervise contract execution from award through client handover.
• Coordinate with Business Development on bids, tenders and proposals.
• Support finance functions including credit control, collections and profit‑share recovery.
• Lead, mentor and train staff, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Represent the company at trade events and stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of senior‑level experience in logistics, freight forwarding or related sectors.
• Proven track record in managing multi‑site operations and driving commercial growth.
• Strong understanding of cross‑border trade within the ECOWAS region.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
