Cashier – Hospitality (Accra & Tema)

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a reliable Cashier to join its Food & Beverage team in Accra. The role involves handling all payment transactions, maintaining cash controls, and delivering a welcoming experience to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Process all payment methods in line with accounting procedures and property audit standards.
• Manage bank drops, count cash at shift end, complete cashier reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized cashier workstation with required supplies.
• Perform opening duties, ensure all tools and cash are ready for service.
• Adhere to safety, security, and uniform standards; report incidents promptly.
• Greet guests, address service needs, and handle telephone inquiries professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior cash handling experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) system.
