Chief Supply Chain Officer (Full Time)

About the role

As Chief Supply Chain Officer you will design, scale and lead Jumia Ghana’s supply‑chain framework, providing decisive operational and strategic direction. You will build, mentor and directly manage a high‑performing supply‑chain team to support rapid business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and standardise best‑in‑class fulfilment and supply‑chain workflows nationwide.
• Recruit, train and scale robust fulfilment and logistics teams.
• Oversee local fleets and third‑party logistics networks, negotiating to optimise costs.
• Own business outcomes with daily, weekly and monthly KPI tracking.
• Ensure seamless order fulfilment and resolve operational emergencies swiftly.
• Produce executive reports on operational metrics, targets and performance variances.
• Manage departmental budgets and execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of internal workflows and foster a growth‑focused culture.
• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery for new operational initiatives and strategic assignments.

Required profile

• Self‑driven strategic leader with entrepreneurial grit and strong leadership capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable in culturally diverse environments.
• Proven crisis management, cross‑functional coordination and high‑stakes vendor negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Economics, Engineering or related field; professional certifications a plus.
• Solid commercial experience in e‑commerce, FMCG or fast‑paced multinational logistics operations.
• Deep understanding of e‑commerce best practices, digital supply‑chain dynamics and evolving customer/vendor behaviours.
