Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Pipelines

About the role

AmaliTech is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimise data pipelines and workflows that support decision‑making and operational efficiency across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, construct and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows.
• Assemble large, complex datasets that meet functional and non‑functional business requirements.
• Collaborate with data architects, scientists and analysts to understand requirements and optimise data flows.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data systems using Grafana, AWS CloudWatch and related tools.
• Implement data governance, security measures and design data storage solutions such as warehouses and lakes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to resolve data quality issues.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ETL tools and frameworks.
• Strong SQL skills; experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Python (preferred); Java or Scala.
• Big data technologies: Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Workflow orchestration: Apache Airflow or Luigi.
• Data warehousing: Redshift, Snowflake.
