About the role
The University of Ghana is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Technology Officer to support planning, security and operational support across its campuses in Accra and the Tema region.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Information Technology Officer in developing and implementing IT strategies.
- Oversee IT security measures and ensure compliance with university policies.
- Coordinate IT support services for staff and students.
- Contribute to planning and budgeting for technology initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external IT service providers.
- Ensure continuity of critical IT services.
- Participate in risk assessment and mitigation activities.
Required profile
- Relevant academic qualifications in information technology or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in IT planning, security and support functions.
- Ability to work within a university environment.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Proven track record of managing IT projects.
