Electrical Supervisor – Underground

About the role

AngloGold Ashanti Ghana is redeveloping the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, fully mechanised underground operation. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead the refurbishment, maintenance and condition monitoring of underground electrical assets, ensuring high plant availability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control output of underground electrical refurbishment projects.
• Conduct periodic audits of secondary fans, cabling and other underground electrical equipment.
• Execute routine maintenance checks, including visual inspections, vibration, infrared, ultrasonic and motor current data collection.
• Analyse predictive maintenance data, trend results and report plant condition for corrective action.
• Generate work requests in SAP for new builds, maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Support the Electrical Superintendent by providing performance data and condition‑monitoring routes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) experience in underground electrical supervision or similar role.
• Strong understanding of total quality management and zero‑defect objectives.
• Ability to work safely in an underground environment and adhere to environmental and safety plans.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
