Facilities Manager

About the role

The Facilities Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of residential apartment buildings for a premium property provider. Reporting to senior directors, the role ensures that all facilities are safe, clean, functional and meet high service standards while supporting long‑term asset value.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of residential properties, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all building systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections, resolve maintenance issues promptly, and coordinate repairs or renovations with minimal resident disruption.
• Lead, coach and develop the on‑site facilities team to improve efficiency and staff engagement.
• Monitor and control operational and maintenance budgets, ensuring cost‑effective resource use.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and statutory regulations.
• Maintain emergency response procedures and oversee emergency preparedness activities.
• Manage external contractors and service providers, guaranteeing quality and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and produce regular operational reports for property owners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Building Technology, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Estate Management, Property Management or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar facilities management role, preferably within residential, hospitality, commercial or mixed‑use properties.
• Strong understanding of building systems and proven ability to assess issues and coordinate contractors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
