Field Sales Manager

About the role

Nestlé Ghana Limited is looking for a proactive Field Sales Manager to lead and develop its distributor sales team. The role focuses on planning, selling and merchandising Nestlé products across assigned outlets in Accra, ensuring sales, profit and volume targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure product availability, visibility and accessibility in all assigned outlets.
• Implement and monitor route plans for optimal coverage.
• Execute trade activities such as promotions, activations and POS deployment.
• Drive distribution, volume and visibility targets in line with cycle objectives.
• Conduct regular field accompaniments to coach sales calls and improve execution.
• Identify skill gaps and deliver targeted training to the sales team.
• Track performance against KPIs and support improvement plans.
• Monitor market trends, competitor actions and pricing, providing actionable insights.
• Manage damaged/expired products and ensure FEFO stock rotation.
• Maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers and key trade partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar sales role, preferably within FMCG.
• Strong commercial acumen and route‑to‑market discipline.
• Proven coaching and team‑development capabilities.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with retailers and distributors.
• Data‑driven decision‑making with solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High resilience, agility, ownership and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Basic digital literacy for navigating sales applications, reporting dashboards and market visibility tools.
