Finance Decision Support Specialist - Technology

About the role

The Finance Decision Support Specialist partners with Technology leadership to provide financial insight, drive operational efficiency, and support strategic growth. This role blends financial expertise with a deep understanding of technology operations to influence investment decisions and resource allocation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Technology division to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long‑range strategic plans.
• Build and maintain advanced financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate initiatives and guide investment choices.
• Provide expert financial advice on business cases, investment proposals, and cost‑reduction strategies to technology executives.
• Work with IT, Network Operations, Capital Projects, and Supply Chain teams to identify process improvements and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure financial accountability and compliance with budgetary limits in partnership with Technology leadership.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports highlighting performance metrics, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
• Assess ROI and financial viability of new technologies and strategic projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive, resilient, and self‑motivated with a drive to identify opportunities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to diverse audiences.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across technology and finance functions.
