Finance Officer (IFRS, Tax & Treasury)

About the role

The Finance Officer will lead financial reporting, tax compliance and treasury activities for our operations in Ghana, supporting both local management and the China headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Ensure timely statutory filings with the Ghana Revenue Authority, SSNIT and other regulators.
• Manage corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax and transfer‑pricing compliance.
• Oversee daily cash management, bank reconciliations and cash‑flow forecasting, including foreign‑exchange exposure.
• Handle end‑to‑end accounts payable and receivable cycles, vendor payments and customer collections.
• Process monthly payroll and statutory deductions such as PAYE and SSNIT contributions.
• Implement internal controls, coordinate external audits and support internal audit reviews.
• Prepare the annual operating budget, quarterly re‑forecasts and conduct variance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (ICAG, ACCA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of finance experience in a multinational manufacturing or heavy‑equipment environment.
• Strong knowledge of Ghana tax law, Companies Act 2019 and IFRS.
• Experience with group consolidation and inter‑company transactions.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, look‑ups, financial modelling).
• ERP systems – SAP preferred; familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage or Xero.
• Group reporting tools.
