Financial Business Partner Specialist

About the role

The Specialist, FBP will support the Obuasi mine’s finance team by delivering accurate financial and non‑financial performance data, driving cost management and informing strategic decisions. The role works closely with operations to forecast, budget and analyse variances, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare rolling forecasts and support the annual budgeting process, including macro and micro assumptions.
• Compile site and regional business plans, strategic options and cost improvement initiatives.
• Perform detailed cost and variance analysis, providing commentary and recommendations for performance improvement.
• Partner with operations to assess financial feasibility of new projects, expansions and scenario planning.
• Develop and maintain financial models and tools, and coach junior team members.

Required profile

• Relevant finance or management accounting degree; chartered accountant or interim status.
• 3‑4 years of experience in financial forecasting, budgeting and management reporting, with at least 2 years in mining operations finance.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional and geographically dispersed teams.
