Fitness Manager (Local Hire)

About the role

The Fitness Manager will take full responsibility for managing the hotel’s fitness centre in Accra, leading the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maximising profitability in line with Kempinski’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and the fitness team to ensure high standards and procedures are consistently met.
• Handle all guest interactions with professionalism, provide facility orientations and tours, and resolve complaints promptly.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of fitness modalities and deliver individually tailored fitness services.
• Ensure compliance with Kempinski Standard Operating Procedures, policies, and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain client confidentiality and exhibit exemplary grooming and attitude for the team.
• Coordinate flexible scheduling, holiday planning, and employee training programs.
• Set monthly goals, monitor performance, and report results to the team.
• Drive revenue growth while controlling costs and managing the financial budget.
• Review monthly expenses, address inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock usage to maintain optimal par levels.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to support overall fitness operations.
• Perform additional tasks or projects assigned by hotel and spa management.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ experience managing an international‑standard health club or fitness centre.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
