Food Service Worker

About the role

The Food Service Worker is a full‑time, on‑site position at Café Kucheza in Sakumono, Tema. You will prepare and serve a variety of meals, snacks, coffees and drinks while ensuring portion control, attractive presentation and compliance with food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic work environment, following all food‑safety and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with inventory control by reporting shortages, rotating stock and helping with stock‑taking.
• Provide courteous customer service and handle basic point‑of‑sale transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to meet service timelines and support opening and closing duties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; food‑safety certification is a plus.
• Proven ability in food preparation, food & beverage handling and customer service.
• Good knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
• Basic numeracy and cash‑handling skills with attention to detail.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform active tasks safely.
• Strong teamwork, communication and time‑management skills.
