Front of House (FOH) Supervisor

About the role

The Front of House (FOH) Supervisor will lead the service team at Café Chavela, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth daily operations. Reporting to management, you will be responsible for staff coordination, customer experience, and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all FOH staff, including servers, cashiers, floaters, and bar personnel.
• Conduct daily pre‑shift briefings covering priorities, menu updates, and promotions.
• Train new hires on service standards, operational procedures, and customer service expectations.
• Maintain staff appearance, punctuality, grooming, and uniform compliance.
• Manage shift breaks to guarantee continuous floor coverage.
• Deliver friendly, professional service and resolve guest complaints.
• Oversee opening and closing checklists, ensuring the café is clean and ready.
• Coordinate with the kitchen for timely food preparation and assist BOH when needed.
• Enforce food safety, hygiene, and PPE usage; monitor and replenish PPE stock.
• Track and procure front‑of‑house consumables, maintaining minimum inventory levels.
• Update menu items, pricing, and promotions in the POS system.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of experience in a hospitality or café environment.
• Entry‑level qualification with a strong focus on customer service.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards.
