Full-stack Engineering Lead (.net, React)

About the role

We are looking for a Full‑stack Engineering Lead to drive technical direction across our web, mobile and backend platforms. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will own architecture, set engineering standards and mentor a growing team of developers in Accra.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end technical direction across web, mobile and backend platforms, aligning with business goals.
• Drive pragmatic architectural decisions, defining service boundaries, integration patterns and trade‑offs between modular monolith and microservices.
• Apply Domain‑Driven Design to create clear domain boundaries, bounded contexts, aggregates and domain events.
• Set and enforce high standards for code quality, testing, API contracts and documentation.
• Partner with Product Owners and Project Managers to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria and break epics into deliverable slices.
• Plan sprints and releases, manage dependencies and risks while balancing product speed with technical sustainability.
• Lead and mentor engineers through pair programming, design reviews, code reviews and coaching.
• Support hiring and onboarding as the team expands.
• Lead development of user experiences on web (React/Next.js) and mobile (React Native), guiding state management, performance and component architecture.
• Ensure UI quality, responsive design, accessibility and polished mobile UX.
• Own backend design and implementation in .NET Core, including API design, security fundamentals and resilient patterns.
• Drive database design, schema migrations, indexing and query optimisation.
• Establish observability foundations to monitor system health and performance.
• Provide engineering input into prioritisation, timelines and technical trade‑offs during product planning.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack experience shipping production products across frontend and backend.
• Proven technical leadership and ability to mentor engineers.
• Experience collaborating with product owners and project managers in an agile environment.
• Ability to make architectural decisions and balance speed with long‑term sustainability.
