General Manager – Civil Engineering (Ghana)

About the role

Mowlem Group is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its civil engineering and infrastructure business in Ghana on an expatriate assignment. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on commercial and operational oversight to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of major projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture new business opportunities, building relationships with government officials, senior industry leaders, and community stakeholders.
• Oversee the tendering process, coordinating bid teams and liaising with corporate and specialist colleagues.
• Deliver the business plan, managing resources, budgets, and timelines across multiple projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to execute infrastructure programmes from conception through to commercial performance.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships to support project success and regional growth.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in civil engineering or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with government and industry partners.
• Ability to operate in a high‑value, complex environment and drive sustainable growth.
