Supervisor – Underground CIC Operations

About the role

The Supervisor, CIC – UG is responsible for overseeing the performance, refurbishment and maintenance of underground CIC equipment at the Obuasi Gold Mine, ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑effective operation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control output of underground CIC operations to maximise plant availability and minimise operational risk.
• Lead refurbishment and maintenance activities to OEM standards, ensuring equipment is fit for safe and efficient use.
• Generate work requests in SAP, conduct condition monitoring and drive continuous improvement through audits and root‑cause analysis.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for CIC staff, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (minimum 5 years) in underground mining or industrial plant maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage safety performance and drive productivity.
• Strong communication skills and experience with SAP and maintenance planning.

Required skills

• SAP maintenance module.
• Condition monitoring techniques (vibration, infrared, ultrasonic, motor current analysis).
• Non‑destructive testing (NDT) and root‑cause failure analysis.
• Knowledge of control, instrumentation and communication systems for underground CIC.
