Group Handyman / Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Group Handyman / Maintenance Technician to support our restaurant facilities across Accra and the Tema region. The role involves routine maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring operational spaces remain safe and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs in kitchens, offices, guest areas, and other operational spaces.
• Diagnose faults and carry out approved electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, welding, or basic mechanical repairs within competence.
• Repair or replace doors, locks, lighting fixtures, shelves, fittings, furniture and other items as assigned.
• Conduct regular site and equipment inspections, reporting defects, safety risks and major repair needs.
• Support preventive‑maintenance schedules and keep simple records of jobs, materials used and outstanding work.
• Respond promptly to urgent breakdowns, assist with equipment movement, installation and setup.
• Coordinate with approved contractors and specialist technicians when work exceeds the authorised scope.
• Travel between Group locations, using tools, ladders and personal protective equipment safely.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance or facilities technician (up to 2 years).
• Strong practical competence in at least one trade such as electrical work, plumbing or carpentry.
• Technical or vocational certification in a relevant trade is preferred.
• Good judgement, reliability, time‑management and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physical fitness for lifting, climbing, bending and standing for extended periods.
