Hiab Operator / Driver – Transport & Crane Operations

About the role

The Hiab Operator / Driver will be responsible for safely operating HIAB‑equipped trucks and performing crane lifting tasks to support material handling across construction, logistics and mining sites.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate HIAB trucks and assigned vehicles to transport materials, equipment and goods to customer and company locations, ensuring timely and professional delivery.
• Operate truck‑mounted HIAB cranes for loading, unloading, lifting and positioning of materials, following approved lifting plans, load charts and safety limits.
• Secure loads using appropriate lifting equipment and coordinate with riggers, site personnel and customers to ensure safe operations.
• Conduct routine pre‑use and post‑use inspections of vehicles and crane equipment, maintain vehicle cleanliness and report defects.
• Ensure compliance with road traffic regulations, HSSE requirements, company policies and industry safety standards.
• Accurately complete delivery routes, vehicle logbooks and transport documentation, and promptly report any incidents or delays.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years experience operating HIAB cranes and heavy‑duty vehicles, preferably in construction, logistics, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing or warehouse environments.
• Valid driver’s licence for heavy goods vehicles.
• Certified HIAB/Truck Mounted Crane Operator certification.
• Valid lifting and rigging certification (preferred).
