Senior Purchasing Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Purchasing Supervisor will lead the procurement, expediting and logistics functions for African Mining Services Ghana (AMSG) across all project sites. This role ensures that goods are ordered, delivered and received on time while mentoring the purchasing team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the Purchasing team to complete the full purchasing, expediting and logistics cycle.
• Control the end‑to‑end procurement process for each purchase order generated from approved requisitions.
• Monitor ordering, follow‑up, delivery and receipt of goods for all AMSG sites.
• Mentor staff on training, development, discipline and time‑management to drive continuous improvement.
• Allocate tasks efficiently to maximise use of human and other resources.

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience with staff management responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills and solid knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment standards.
• Physically fit and able to work on any AMSG project site.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PRONTO procurement software.
• Proficiency with PULSE logistics system.
