Hostel Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Hostel Manager to oversee daily operations of our student accommodation in Korle‑Bu, Accra. The role involves supervising staff, handling tenant issues, and ensuring a safe, well‑maintained environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all hostel staff (porters, cleaners, administration) and manage shift schedules.
• Handle student/tenant grievances, emergencies, and disciplinary issues.
• Oversee facility maintenance, safety protocols, and utility management.
• Report regularly to the hostel owners on occupancy rates and operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with local hospitality, health, and safety regulations.
• Manage vendor contracts for security, waste management, and repairs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years (36 months) experience in property management, hospitality, or hostel operations.
• Strong leadership, conflict‑resolution, and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
