Human Resources Officer – Hospitality Sector

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will support the restaurant group’s HR function across Accra and Tema, ensuring smooth recruitment, employee relations and compliance with Ghana labour regulations. This is a full‑time, head‑office based position with occasional travel to other group locations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate vacancy advertising, screen applications, conduct interviews, reference checks and manage onboarding.
• Prepare and maintain contracts, appointment letters, probation documentation, transfers and other HR correspondence.
• Maintain confidential employee files, attendance, leave, disciplinary records and HR databases.
• Assist managers with grievances, investigations, disciplinary processes and conflict resolution.
• Organise probation reviews, performance appraisals, training activities and employee‑development follow‑up.
• Produce monthly HR reports covering recruitment, headcount, turnover, absenteeism, leave, training and employee‑relations matters.
• Support HR policy implementation and monitor compliance with the Ghana Labour Act and company standards.
• Contribute to workforce planning, employee engagement and HR activities at group locations as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant HR experience, preferably in hospitality, food service or a fast‑paced environment.
• Good working knowledge of the Ghana Labour Act and HR policies.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIHRM, CIPD, SHRM, HRCI) is an advantage.
• Demonstrated confidentiality, sound judgement, accountability and integrity.
