Assistant Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Assistant Human Resources Manager will support the HR Manager in day‑to‑day HR operations at the Best Western Premier Accra Airport Hotel. This full‑time, on‑site position in Accra involves recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and training coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment, screening candidates and coordinating interviews.
• Support onboarding processes and maintain accurate employee records.
• Help manage payroll and benefits administration.
• Address employee inquiries and resolve relations issues.
• Coordinate staff schedules and training workshops.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and improve HR processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field.
• At least one month of HR experience, preferably in hospitality or service‑oriented environments.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
• Ability to interpret Ghana labour laws and hotel policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with discretion for confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Experience using HRIS and HR systems such as Bayan or Prosoft.
