Investment Analyst – Research & Portfolio Support

About the role

The National Pensions Regulatory Authority is seeking a goal‑oriented Investment Analyst to conduct research and generate investment ideas that support fund managers in making informed portfolio decisions. This role involves analysing financial data, monitoring market developments, and communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse company accounts, pension data, statistics, economics and relevant political events.
• Review financial statements, profit & loss, and cash flow for specific companies.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market developments, new products and factors influencing markets.
• Monitor financial news using specialist media sources.
• Write research reports and provide investment ideas for clients, stakeholders and donors.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and other regulations.
• Maintain regular communication with fund managers, trustees and custodians.
• Prepare presentations and recommendations on instruments for fund manager portfolios.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Accounting).
• Additional degree in Finance/Mathematics/Statistics/Economics/Accounting.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Finance is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in a similar position is highly beneficial.
• Strong financial analytical background.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
