Issuing Supervisor

About the role

The Issuing Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily flow of materials, tools and supplies from the warehouse to the production floor or customers. This role ensures accurate issuance, maintains inventory integrity, and leads a team of issuing staff in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily issuing of materials, products, tools and supplies from the warehouse.
• Verify that all issues are supported by approved requisitions, sales orders or other authorized documents.
• Coordinate and supervise warehouse issuing personnel, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update issue logs in the inventory system.
• Monitor stock levels, enforce FIFO/FEFO rotation and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare regular issuing and stock reports for management.
• Participate in stock counts, audits and inventory reconciliation exercises.
• Identify and implement improvements to issuing procedures, accuracy and turnaround time.
• Enforce warehouse safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Train employees on warehouse processes, safety requirements and material‑handling best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics & Statistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage warehouse staff.
• Strong planning, organizing and time‑management capabilities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and accountability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Physically fit for occasional warehouse duties.
• Honest, reliable and committed to safety standards.
