IT Field Service / Field Support Engineer

About the role

The IT Field Service / Field Support Engineer will deliver on‑site installation, configuration and support of IT equipment for clients across Accra and the Tema region. You will act as the primary technical point of contact, ensuring hardware functions correctly and users are comfortable with the solutions deployed.

Key responsibilities

• Unbox, assemble, mount and configure computers, peripherals, scanners and power‑backup systems.
• Install device drivers, configure ports and connect devices to Wi‑Fi, Ethernet or mobile data networks.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity and communication issues between equipment and backend systems.
• Deploy and configure Windows, Android and macOS/iOS devices, applying basic security settings.
• Accurately document hardware identifiers, network addresses, site IDs and maintain asset‑tracking records.
• Provide on‑site technical support and training to end users, explaining processes in non‑technical language.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and on‑site personnel while minimizing operational disruption.

Required profile

• Background in IT, field engineering, networking or a related technical field.
• Practical knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals and basic networking concepts.
• Ability to travel to different client locations and work on‑site.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and asset tracking.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
