About the role

The West African Examinations Council is seeking a Data Entry Clerk Grade III to join its Information and Communication Technology Division in Accra. The role involves preparing source data for computer entry, maintaining data integrity, and supporting database operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
• Maintain data entry requirements by following established techniques and procedures.
• Purge files to eliminate duplicate data.
• Follow policies and procedures, reporting any needed changes to operations.
• Secure information by completing regular database backups.
• Key to disk all defective scannable source documents not using OMR technology.
• Assist in query tracing as required.

Required profile

• Minimum WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE/GCE Ordinary Level with credits in at least five subjects, including English and Mathematics.
• At least one year of relevant post‑qualification experience in a reputable organization.
• Age not exceeding 30 years at the time of application.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with an understanding of data confidentiality.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and operate both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient typing skills and basic computer knowledge of relevant software packages.
