IT Support Engineer – Accra/Tema

About the role

The IT Support Engineer will ensure the smooth operation of Twellium’s technology environment across its Accra and Tema facilities. You will install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, network, and security systems while providing prompt assistance to end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktop, server and networking hardware.
• Set up and support access‑control and surveillance monitoring equipment.
• Perform regular data‑security tasks including updates, backups and access‑control management.
• Monitor operating systems, applications and overall IT infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users.
• Document daily activities, generate performance reports and communicate system changes.
• Conduct testing in line with company procedures and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Effective time‑management with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize tickets and work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux.
• Active Directory management.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, basic routing/switching.
• Fiber‑optic splicing, termination and testing.
• Installation of SFP/SFP+ transceivers for fiber and copper links.
• Structured cabling – LAN, fiber, patch panels and server‑rack installation.
• Security tools: endpoint protection, access‑control systems, patch management.
• Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
