IT Technician – Network & Systems Support

About the role

We are looking for a motivated IT Technician to join our team in Accra. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of workstations, network resources and server infrastructure, both on‑site and remotely, while supporting end‑users across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot workstations, ensuring optimal performance and timely upgrades.
• Manage network accessibility, secure shared resources and resolve connectivity issues.
• Install, configure and test PCs, proprietary software and server‑based applications.
• Perform regular system maintenance, data backups and assist in disaster recovery planning.
• Support network security tools such as Smoothwall content filtering, firewalls and antivirus solutions.
• Administer user accounts, set permissions and monitor system performance.
• Provide training to users on new software and hand over projects as required.

Required profile

• HND in Computer Networking or equivalent.
• CompTIA N+ and A+ certifications (MCSE preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in hardware, software and networking within a corporate environment.
• Strong sense of integrity, results‑driven attitude and good communication skills.

Required skills

• Server‑based network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Cisco networking and advanced network setups.
• PC and workstation troubleshooting, hardware upgrades.
• Smoothwall content filtering, firewall configuration and antivirus management.
• User account administration and permission management.
• System performance monitoring and OS/hardware updates.
