Junior Data Analyst

About the role

The Junior Data Analyst will support vascular biology research projects at Murphy-Fotsis Lab in Tema, Ghana. Working on‑site, you will handle experimental and clinical datasets, perform basic statistical analyses, and create visualisations to communicate findings.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organise experimental and clinical datasets.
• Perform basic statistical analyses and generate tables, charts, and other visualisations.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and document workflows.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the research process.
• Prepare data summaries for internal reports, presentations, and publications.

Required profile

• Foundational data analysis skills with experience using spreadsheets.
• Basic programming or scripting ability (Python, R, or MATLAB).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication for summarising results.
• Ability to follow scientific protocols, document workflows clearly, and manage time in a laboratory setting.
