Marketing Director – Ghana

About the role

Visa is seeking a Marketing Director for Ghana to shape and execute the country’s marketing strategy. Reporting to the Head of Marketing for Sub‑Saharan Africa, you will lead local teams and agency partners to drive revenue, transaction volume, and market share across both physical and digital payment channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated marketing plans that align with Visa’s business objectives in Ghana.
• Oversee local Visa marketing teams and agency relationships to maximize performance in revenue generation, payment volume, and merchant acceptance.
• Lead initiatives that boost Visa payment volumes, support premium and cross‑border platforms, and manage sponsorships and promotional activities.
• Allocate and manage country‑level marketing budgets, ensuring rigorous business case assessment and KPI measurement (including MROI).
• Collaborate with issuers, merchants, sales, product, acceptance, and global marketing teams to deliver value‑added services.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience with at least 15 years in marketing, preferably within payments, fintech, or related financial services.
• Proven track record of leading large, cross‑functional marketing teams and agency partnerships.
• Strong understanding of both physical and card‑not‑present (digital) payment ecosystems.
