National Consultant – Entrepreneurship & Innovation (Accra, 4 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior‑level National Consultant to lead the coordination, continuity and strategic transition of the UNICEF Startup Lab in Ghana. The consultant will work from an office in Accra for four months, supporting the KOICA‑UNICEF Accelerating Entrepreneurship and Innovation initiative and ensuring the programme’s sustainability through effective hand‑over to the University of Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Provide programme coordination and strategic oversight for the Startup Lab implementation.
• Manage the transition and institutionalisation of the Startup Lab into the Ghana‑Korea Impact Centre at the University of Ghana.
• Facilitate partnerships across the entrepreneurship and technology ecosystem and maintain donor reporting.
• Monitor, learn and measure impact, preparing end‑of‑project reports.
• Support knowledge management and stakeholder engagement throughout the consultancy period.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Public Administration or related field.
• Minimum five years (60 months) of senior‑level experience in youth entrepreneurship, innovation programmes or similar development initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder projects and manage transitions between organisations.
• Familiarity with the Ghanaian entrepreneurship ecosystem and experience working with international donors.
