Professor, Faculty of Engineering

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) is seeking a senior academic to join the Faculty of Engineering as a Professor. The appointment can be made in one of the following departments: Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics and Statistics. The successful candidate will lead teaching, research and community service activities at the university.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervise student projects.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in recognized journals.
• Provide academic leadership and mentorship to junior faculty.
• Engage in community outreach and professional service activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development and faculty governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
• Current appointment as Professor at a recognized university, or at least three years as Associate Professor with a minimum of fifteen peer‑reviewed publications.
• Demonstrated record of research excellence and teaching effectiveness.
• Three professional referees with contact details.
