Project Manager – 161kV Transmission Line & Substation Relocation

About the role

Electrofax Engineering Services (GH) Limited is seeking a Project Manager to lead the 161kV transmission line and substation relocation project. The role is responsible for delivering the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring and close‑out of the 161kV transmission line and substation relocation.
• Develop and maintain project management plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and stakeholder activities.
• Manage contractual obligations, ensure compliance with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Interface with utility operators, regulatory agencies, contractors, consultants and community stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against schedules, implement corrective actions and manage risks, issues and opportunities.
• Oversee quality assurance, safety performance and environmental compliance.
• Chair project meetings and provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• MSc in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (mandatory).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power transmission and substation projects, with at least 5 years in a project management role.
• Proven experience managing high‑voltage transmission line and substation construction/relocation projects (132kV–330kV preferred).
• Knowledge of international engineering standards such as IEC, IEEE, ISO and NEC.
