Regional Director, East and West Africa

About the role

The Regional Director for East and West Africa will lead the design, development and implementation of TechnoServe’s programs across seven countries. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer and sitting on the global senior management team, the role is responsible for driving a steady pipeline of donor opportunities and ensuring high‑quality, compliant project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee program design, development and implementation across Benin, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda.
• Build and maintain proactive relationships with key donors and development partners to secure new business opportunities.
• Ensure all project operations meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Manage a multi‑country budget of approximately $24 million and monitor financial performance.
• Lead a regional team of over 350 staff, fostering collaboration with private‑sector partners, governments and communities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in international development or a related sector.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement multi‑country programs.
• Strong track record of donor relationship management and fundraising.
• Experience overseeing large budgets and ensuring compliance.
• Excellent strategic planning and team‑leadership capabilities.
