Regional Financial Accountant – EMEA

About the role

The Regional Financial Accountant will lead Chrysos' EMEA accounting function, ensuring accurate, complete and timely financial information across the region. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role supervises the EMEA Accountant and Accounts Payable Specialist while partnering with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee EMEA accounts receivable and payable processes.
• Supervise, review and approve work of the EMEA Accountant and Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Manage fixed‑asset and lease accounting for the region.
• Collaborate with the International Tax Manager on transfer‑pricing processing.
• Drive reconciliations of group accounts and maintain accurate record‑keeping.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare quarterly and annual management accounts for board meetings.
• Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end, half‑year and year‑end close processes.
• Lead preparation of statutory financial statements and external audit engagements.
• Mentor and develop members of the EMEA finance team.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading regional accounting functions.
• Strong knowledge of fixed‑asset, lease, and transfer‑pricing accounting.
• Ability to manage month‑end and year‑end close cycles.
• Experience coordinating external audits and tax audits.
• Excellent supervisory and mentorship skills.
