Room Attendant – Local Hire

About the role

The Room Attendant ensures guest rooms, corridors and public areas are cleaned to the hotel’s standards, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests. This position is based on‑site at Kempinski Hotels in Accra and involves direct interaction with guests to address their needs.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, replenishing supplies, cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming carpets.
• Inspect rooms for proper condition and report any repair needs to the Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, floor public areas, equipment and pantries.
• Provide turn‑down service and attend to late‑check‑out requests following hotel standards.
• Answer guest questions courteously and refer requests to appropriate staff when necessary.
• Record relevant information on assignment sheets and report special situations or incidents at shift end.
• Coordinate lost‑and‑found items with the Order Taker and ensure proper handling.

Required profile

• High School or Vocational School Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years experience in housekeeping or a similar hotel environment.
• Ability to work on a shift basis and follow hotel standards.
