Sales Engineer – Surface Drilling

About the role

Sandvik is looking for a proactive Sales Engineer – Surface Drilling to expand sales of its surface drilling and rotary solutions in Ghana. You will act as the technical bridge between customers and the product line, ensuring the right equipment meets client needs while driving profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure customers adhere to Sandvik’s equipment sales terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with Customer Account Coordinators to resolve issues promptly.
• Provide regular status reports on mining and infrastructure activities.
• Identify and promote opportunities for Sandvik Total Surface Drilling and Rotary offerings.
• Support the tender‑to‑contract process together with Account Management.
• Manage the sales funnel, plan activities, and follow‑up on leads.
• Maintain an accurate, high‑quality CRM pipeline.
• Conduct competitor analyses on products, performance, pricing, and market share.
• Develop deep understanding of customers’ operations and processes.
• Ensure contract terms support timely cash collection and equipment configurations meet technical specifications.

• Ability to understand and translate customer business needs into technical solutions.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management.
