Sales Trader – Investment Banking

About the role

A leading investment bank in Accra is seeking an experienced Sales Trader to join its capital markets team. The role focuses on executing trades for institutional, corporate and private clients while identifying market opportunities and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Execute buy and sell orders across equities, fixed income and FX for a diverse client base.
• Identify and originate trading opportunities and monitor market flow.
• Track macro‑economic and investment trends to inform trading decisions.
• Maintain relationships with brokers, regulators, portfolio managers and other market participants.
• Ensure all trades comply with GSE and SEC regulations.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to the expansion of the trading franchise.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in securities trading or capital markets.
• Strong understanding of equities, fixed income, FX and broader financial markets.
• Commercial mindset with proven institutional client‑facing experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management abilities.
